Liverpool vs Villarreal (01:00 BST, Wed 21 Oct)

Liverpool beat Atlético 2-1 and then won a wild 6-3 game at LASK. Villarreal lost at Dortmund but beat Napoli 3-1. Anfield on a European night is a hard place for any visitor.

Real Madrid vs RB Leipzig (01:00 BST, Thu 22 Oct)

Real Madrid won both games by one goal: 2-1 against Inter and 4-3 in Rome. Leipzig lost 4-1 at Como but then beat PSV 1-0. Madrid’s defence has let in four goals in two games, so Leipzig will see a chance.

At the bottom, Inter, Porto, Napoli, Slavia Praha, LASK, Lille, Galatasaray and Slovan Bratislava are still without a point. For Inter and Napoli, a home game this week is close to a must-win.

How the 36-team league phase works

Since 2024-25, the Champions League uses one big league instead of groups. Here is the short version:

36 clubs play in one table.
Each club plays eight different opponents, four at home and four away.
The top eight go straight to the round of 16.
Clubs ranked 9th to 24th meet in a two-legged knockout play-off.
Clubs ranked 25th to 36th are out of Europe for the season.

According to UEFA’s 2026/27 dates and format page, the league phase runs until Matchday 8 on 27 January 2027. The play-offs follow in February. The final is on 5 June 2027 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.

That format explains why Matchday 3 matters. Six points is a strong start, but it does not guarantee a top-eight place. A team on zero can still reach the play-offs with a good run.

Champions League fixtures in Bangladesh time after Matchday 3

Once Europe moves to winter time on 25 October, the two slots become 23:45 and 02:00 BST. The Daily Star’s full 2026/27 fixture list in Bangladesh time (published 7 September 2026) gives the same pattern for the rest of the league phase:

Matchday 8 is different. Every game kicks off at the same time, so the final table is decided in one night.

What about the final? For the 2026 final in Budapest, UEFA moved the kick-off to 18:00 local time, which was 22:00 in Bangladesh. We have not seen a confirmed kick-off time for the 5 June 2027 final in Madrid yet. Check UEFA’s site closer to the date.

Where to watch the Champions League in Bangladesh

UEFA’s list of official broadcast partners names Sony and Tapmad for Bangladesh. We did not check which Sony channel or app plan shows each match, or the subscription prices. Check with your cable operator or the platform before match night.

Avoid unofficial streaming links. They often carry pop-ups and malware, and they can break in the middle of a game.

A simple plan for late-night viewers

Note the date: 21:00 games in Europe start at 01:00 the next day in Bangladesh.
Pick one main game per night instead of trying to follow nine.
